Die Trying Podcasts campaign takes place in the ever changing world of dreams. What does it mean when we dream? Unconscious desires and wishes? Processing information gathered during the day? Or perhaps it is something more… Someone even. Dreams are a unique state of consciousness that use the experiences of the past to prepare us for the future. Our heroes must grapple with their sense of selves to quell the threat that looms over us as we drift blissfully through another quiet night in our world.

Hello fellow dice rollers and potential newcomers to the world of Dungeons & Dragons! My name is Zac Smith, and I will be your Dungeon Master for this D&D play podcast. If you are new to D&D, don’t worry. It is essentially collective storytelling with us rolling dice here and there to create a sense of suspense or even some humorous moments.

Thri-kreen Ranger from the bug world of Thorad. Avid explorer since hatching, I fully charted the cave structure of Thorad while growing and training. Armed with my trusty bows and knowledge of the terrain, I protect my family region and am known for my marksmanship throughout Thorad. Large in stature but tame in nature, I am ready to carry on the legacy of my late father and venture to all reaches of the realm.

Robin Feather-Foot

Harengon Druid extraordinaire! Robin is a dark coated Rabbit-folk that never likes to stay in one place for too long. He’s a quick-footed nomadic traveler that doesn’t pay much attention to what he looks like because he’s too distracted on where his next adventure lies. With a little Feywild luck, he has never said no to hoping into battle to help those in need.

Cyto Psuedomosis Nuclair

Plasmoid Time Wizard. Cyto was raised with a sense of self and a taste for all things regarding knowledge, which is extremely out of the ordinary for his non vocal, hard labour working race. If his head isn't stuffed in some book, you'll usually find him out with his best and... well, his only friend, Adhara who discovered him on a floating asteroid research facility traveling through the Astral Wild Space. Cyto believes it was destiny for him to go along with his new friend wherever she may lead them…

Demveinn Rutileheart

Played by Mason Gish

An Earth Genasi artificer and alchemist. Once a party member of Spirac’s, Rudy has spent time carving out a life in the cyberpunk capital in the dream realm. He finds himself ingrained with the technological magic of Vernath - both as a source of gold and physically as a fix for injuries from a job gone wrong. With his critical thinking skills and gadgets, Rudy is no pushover when it comes to getting in a scrap but would much rather have his homunculus do it for him.

Astral Elf and Warlock Seeker. This realm of Dreams holds many wondrous and deadly curiosities. I aim to uncover them one at a time in the name of Aldmerious, the Seeker of knowledge and secrets. My Patron guides my path through cryptic messages. One such riddle led me to an isolated island in the Astral Wildspace where I found Cyto Pseudomosis Nuclair, a highly intelligent plasmoid. Together we aim to uncover their shadowed origins. The adventures my friends and I are sure to face will create a past the future shall revel in.
